Controversial Topic

My Controversial topic was the racism inside of the book Huck Finn. In the book racism was seen throughout the book and in the real world. In the book the word nigga was used consistently used in the book Huck Finn. People outside use the word nigga al the time. Black and white uses the word nigga. If it so offensive then why do blacks call people their friend their little nigga. Some whites say if it’s not white it’s not right, and some blacks say the same thing about the white people. So are we all racist? No, people might not be racist, but they can be prejudice and prejudge all white, black and, Mexican. Blacks can say white people are crackers and white can say spicks and Mexican niggas so what is the difference. Everyone has their own little offensive name, so whatever you say you will always have someone will always say something offensive to you.

Should Huck Finn be taught on Schools?

I think Huck Finn should be taught in schools because the book is a very good book. The book teaches students about history and at the same time it is telling about the things happening in that time period. Huck Finn should be taught in schools because it talks about some of the negative things that were done to slaves. Slaves were called niggas and niggers because blacks had no respect in that time. The story is a very emotional for some because of their language that they use. Huck Finn should be taught in schools because it is very educational.
