NHD Reflection
NHD was a pain. From the start ti was hard just to pick my group's project type. We were arguing to pick performance or documentary. we picked performance. then after that we had to deal with the teachers telling us what the script had to have on it. when we had our project type we didn't make up our mind to pick the project we would do for NHD. We had to choose from The Black Mafia, William Penn, or the Philadelphia Female-Anti Slavery Society. We chose the Philadelphia Female-Anti Slavery Society then it was hell after that. We wrote our script the wrong way so we started that late. The 60 note cards had then appeared so that was a pain in the butt. Next time I am going to make 5 note cards every day so I won't be up until 1:00 in the morning making note cards. The process paper was very easy I got that done in like 20 minutes then it was editing the script. Since I was the only playwright i had to do that myself. Then i had to write scene three and that was Dom's job. It seemed as though this NHD project was not going out as planned. Then Ms.McMillan had the nerve to say we relied on Dom. That pissed me off. Then she was trying to basically write our play and that was end. She told us that it wasn't done when the play couldn't have anything else on it. the came the tedious stuff that she wanted us to do. She wanted us to make the stage direction in a certain font. i told her it wasn't necessary so she ignored me and still made me do it. I was so mad. She never even wrote a play so what would she know. i wrote a play with stage direction and i didn't have to put it in a certain font you just needed parentheses. I worked with Ed Shockley so I know how to write a play. The performance was terrible. We all forgot some of our lines. Dom froze up and i said some of his lines. I forgot stuff too, but who cares we still made it to the city competition.
